Lane Career Academy: HOPE Factory

Interested in a career in the construction or manufacturing trades?

JOIN LANE CAREER ACADEMY: HOPE FACTORY!

A hands-on real world learning environment for junior and senior high school students. Train and gain experience along side industry professionals in welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and manufacturing during the school day.

Navigate a pathway to the trades.

Located in Eugene, Oregon, The HOPE Factory is a collaboration between Lane Education Service District, St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County, and Lane CTE. The factory produces high-quality, affordable, energy-efficient, and fire-resilient manufactured homes intended to support recovery in Oregon, where many homes were lost due to wildfires.

During this real-world hands on experience, students earn two credits at their high school, Lane Community College (LCC) dual credits, and a BOLI pre-apprenticeship certificate while being taught skills on-site and provided with industry certifications and work-based learning opportunities. Students will work alongside craft professionals in a handful of trades, including welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and manufacturing.
