South’s Child Development pathway guides students through child growth theories, psychology, and teaching practicums in community settings. Completion may allow college credit and culminates in advanced coursework or aide roles with a final CTE project.

In this pathway, students explore news reporting, broadcast, and media production. With opportunities to contribute to news media I/II, yearbook, and broadcast projects, the curriculum culminates with a CTE portfolio and hands-on journalistic experience.

South Eugene’s Culinary pathway offers a full three-credit progression through cooking fundamentals, catering practicum, and advanced food-lab experiences. The sequence culminates in a senior-year CTE project, emphasizing real-world kitchen operations and project-based learning.

Over a three-year progression from introductory to advanced graphic design and digital photography, students at South develop creative portfolios. They learn visual communication, software tools, and complete significant design projects.
