Short Description:
This immersive program for high school students explores the intersection of sustainability, agriculture, and environmental conservation. Through courses like Sustainable Foods, Agricultural Science, and Horticulture, students learn about food systems, plant cultivation, and eco-friendly farming. Hands-on experiences in Wildland Firefighting, Drones, and Fish & Wildlife prepare students for careers in conservation and land management. The Kennedy Conservation Corps and Green Team provide leadership opportunities in environmental stewardship, while Apiculture, Floraculture, and Wetland Restoration connect students with real-world sustainability projects. College credit and paid work experiences are available to students in parts of the program. Whether interested in animal sciences, food processing, or green careers, students gain the skills and knowledge to shape a more sustainable future.
